Mental health & physical health
are equally important,
take care of your mental health.
I have been working in the mental health field since 2011. I am passionate about helping people, raising mental health awareness, and using mental strategies in the sport of ultramarathon running.
This page is dedicated to mental health, as it relates to running, ultrarunning, and anything fitness. If you are interested in additional mental health content and resources, run over to my counseling website, finishstrongercounseling.com Contact me if you have any questions, I’d be happy to answer them.
I don’t provide clinical mental health services to people I know or to my mindset coaching clients. Mindset coaching is a non-clinical service.

Ideas to help raise awareness and funds for mental illness
Raising awareness for mental health is something that we should prioritize because everyone is impacted by mental health, whether you have an illness or not. We all know a family member, friend or a person in our community who struggles with mental illness.
Increasing your own awareness and knowledge of mental health and then advocating and spreading it is impactful. Your impact can help shift society from a negative state of viewing mental illness towards a positive state.
Raising awareness also means that the mental illness is realized sooner, which leads to earlier treatment, and better treatment results because it was sooner, as opposed to later (possibly more severe).
