My friend, Eric Deeter, invited me back onto his podcast to have a conversation about all sorts of things, from what to do of you encounter a cougar to the advantages of swearing. What a fun episode!
Here are a few of the topics we discussed
• Strategies for getting through an ultramarathon. We specifically talk about how to get through an unsupported Fastest Known Time (FKT).
• Mindset
• What you should do if you come across a cougar
• Mantras and swearing
We hope you enjoy listening! Listen here.
“All of her [Shannon’s] running adventures opened doors for her to provide mental coaching for athletes, and she also counsels people in Mental Health. Just as she works with mindset coaching she also works with people who struggle with anxiety, trauma and eating disorders. She says she believes that gives her a big advantage over other mindset coaches because she has that counseling experience.”

Eric’s passion for business came from the passion he has from other areas of his life. His business now serves him, not the other way around. Eric continued to work on his mindset, which needed fixed, even though his business was going well. He was still stuck in some areas and would work his ass off to keep his business going.
He took charge of his life and business. He overcame limiting beliefs, lost weight that he had been “trying” to lose for about 15 years, restructured his business to better serve himself, and began running ultramarathons. Eric teaches that the mindset that you need to run 100 miles is the same mindset that you need to succeed in business.
